Brought a wedding dress to be cleaned after our wedding. Dress was returned dirty with many spots missed. Business owner informed us that if we wanted they could clean it again but we'd be charged a second time. A second phone call resulted in being told there was nothing they could do unless we wanted to pay for another cleaning. AVOID this cleaner.
I had a good experience and the prices are reasonable.
Took a new prom dress (in a garment bag) to this location to be shortened. Picked the dress up and it had grease stains on it. Granger Cleaners informed me that steaming it brought out stains that were hidden in the fabric. We asked a more reputable cleaning company about that statement and they laughed. They said that the stain was likely from the sewing maching that was used. Granger Cleaners would not admit that they got stains on it. They informed me they could try to do a special cleaning on it for over $100 but that there were no guarantees the grease would ever come out. Do not take anything to this place for alterations or cleaning. I now have a beautiful, expensive prom dress from Chicago that is ruined before it's ever been worn. After being a new weekly customer for almost a year, I showed up to pick up my order and the prices were increased by several dollars per pant. I pointed out to the older Asian woman what their menu stated AND what I had always paid. She pointed at me and said "Heavy"! I told her that she could not just arbitrarily charge a customer based on that factor and with no advance disclosure. I also pointed out that there was no signage or menu pricing addendum AND that I had never had this occur at any other drycleaner. I clearly stated this was a form of discrimination and I would not return if the bill was not adjusted...she said "That's fine, don't!" I called the following day to complain and the young man who was familiar with me as a customer repeated to me the correct menu pricing and then asked me to hold while he discussed it with her, however he did not place me on hold and I heard her converse in the language of their heritage and clearly use the word heavy several times, at which point he told me that he could not overrule her and if I returned she had decided I would pay more. Upon inspecting that weeks pick-up receipt, they had actually put the word "hvy" in the notes.
